Nearly every game of Freecell Solitaire can be won with perfect play. This makes Freecell card game much more interesting and popular than Solitaire variations like Klondike, where luck is a large factor in the game. With Freecell, winning depends mostly on skill.

You have a better chance of winning if you plan your strategy carefully. Below you will find several simple rules that can help you to win Freecell Solitaire on more regular basis.

1. Examine the tableau carefully before making any moves. It is very important to plan several moves ahead. The obvious moves are not always the best.

2. Make it a priority to free up all the Aces, especially if they are deeply buried behind the higher cards. Move them to the home cells as early as possible.

3. Try to keep as many free cells empty as possible. Be cautious! Once all free cells are filled, you have almost no space to maneuver. And your ability to maneuver is the key to this game. Make sure you have no alternative before placing any cards in the free cells.

4. Try to create an empty tableau pile as soon as possible. Empty tableau piles are more important than free cells. Each empty tableau can be used to store an entire sequence instead of a single card. And it doubles the length of an ordered sequence of cards that can be moved from one tableau to another. (If the long sequence move involves both empty tableaus and free cells, it is often called supermove.)

5. If it is possible, fill an empty tableau space with a long descending sequence that begins with a King.

6. Do not to move cards to the home cells too quickly. You may need these cards later to maneuver lower cards of other suits.

Some Freecell Solitaire deals are solvable very quickly, while others take more time to solve. Replaying the same shuffles in a number of different ways will allow completing the most difficult ones. The more you play the more games you are able to complete. Continue to practice using the strategy above and soon you will find yourself achieving better results and enhancing your enjoyment of playing Freecell Solitaire.

Solitaire is hip, cool, and way more popular than Half Life 2. Don’t believe me right? Well, the numbers don’t lie. According to two of the biggest search tracking tools on the web (Wordtracker and Overture) more people are looking to play Solitaire then Half Life 2. Almost twice as many. Wordtracker says that every day 5,031 people searched for Solitaire, while only 3,610 looked for Half Life 2. Overture says 3,095 searched for Solitaire, while only 1,180 searched for Half Life 2. And these days, Half Life 2 is in its prime. It’s having its 15 minutes of fame. Within 6 more months, when all the buzz has worn down, Half Lifes numbers will drop. After those same 6 months, Solitaire will be just as popular as ever. It’s a classic; it never goes out of style. It’s retro, old school, and bleeding edge all at the same time.

Save your money.

Ya gotta read the fine print folks. Flip that pretty shrink-wrapped box of Half Life 2 over, and take a peek at the little letters. You know, the ones with all the tech speak, that only the 14 year old in the family understands. Don’t bother trying to read it; I’ll translate for ya. It says, “Not only will you have to shell out 59.95 for this glitzy box in your hands, but prepare to cough up another $150-$ $200 (plus installation) to upgrade that pathetic outdated machine you have at home”. Yea right. Is there a big “L” burned into my forehead? I’m willing to bet however, that if you can read this article, your PC has all the juice it needs to run the biggest baddest version of Solitaire ever created.

You’ll never be bored.

If your looking to expand your Solitaire experience head on over to your favorite search engine, type in Solitaire, and hit enter. Google finds about 6.8 million sites. Pick one, and have a blast. I’m sure you can find one that’s way cooler than the one that came with your windows machine. Now, how many variations of Half Life 2 are there to choose from? Umm I believe the title suggests there are 2. Not much choice there.

You don’t have to train with the circus contortionist.

You’ll really need to get your fingers limbered and loose for all the crazy keyboard commands, combinations, and permutations you’ll need to master for Half Life 2. The original Half Life had 49 different keyboard / mouse control combinations to play the game. I suspect that version 2 has even more. Last time I checked, the version of Solitaire installed with Windows, only needed 2. Point . . . and . . . click. Once again, if you’re reading this article (and obviously you are), I think you’ve got all the training you need for Solitaire. Ever seen a deck of playing cards before? Ok then, your trained!

Slingo, Platypus, Breakout, Tetris, Zuma, Magic Vines, etc, etc, etc.

If Solitaire doesn’t get you all worked up, then look around a little. Don’t just settle for the latest hype from today’s headlines. There are thousands of fun, easy to learn game gems out there, just waiting to be discovered by someone like you. They never get old, they’re always fun. Plus, you can download them right now, and be playing in minutes. They’re great games, they don’t need to be hyped. So, what are you waiting for, stop reading, come on in, and play play play!

Spider Solitaire is one of the most popular Solitaire card games in the world. It is often named Classic Solitaire game and “the King of all Solitaires”.

Spider Solitaire is a lot of fun and has to be learned like any other game. At first glance, this challenging and time-consuming game seems to be too complicated. But spider Solitaire is a very easy game to play once you get the hang of it.

Not every game of Spider Solitaire can be won, but you have a better chance of winning if you plan your strategy carefully. Below you will find some simple rules that can increase your chances of winning Spider Solitaire.

1. Build sequences of cards by following suit

Whenever you have a choice, prefer builds in suite (“natural builds”). Natural build may be moved as a unit to be built elsewhere. This allows you to expose a hidden face down card, which you may now turn over, or expose an empty pile.

2. Try to expose hidden cards whenever possible

Uncovering hidden cards leads to a new set of possible moves. Besides, it is a way to get empty pile.

3.Try to make empty piles as early as possible

Move cards from tableaus that have fewer cards. Use empty piles as temporary storage when rearranging cards sequences into “natural” builds as far as possible. Move cards to empty spaces to turn over more cards.

4. Build on higher cards first

Among the “out of suit” builds, start with those of highest rank. The reason for this is apparent. You can not move “out of suit” build as a unit to another pile. So this build is of no use except as a temporary storage for cards from other piles. If we start with low card, the build will be finished with an Ace very quickly and then it will be useless. Starting from higher cards allows us to get maximum advantage from it.

5. Get as many cards exposed and arranged in suit order as possible before dealing the next 10 cards from the stock

Otherwise your chances of winning are significantly reduced.

6. As soon as you remove a suit, arrange the remaining cards into “natural builds”

Use empty piles as temporary storage when rearranging cards.

Spend some time practicing this strategy and soon you will find yourself beating Spider Solitaire faster and more often.

The rules of this game are known to almost everyone.

Not all games of Klondike Solitaire are solvable. Playing Klondike game involves a lot of guesswork and it is the main reason why you do not win the vast majority of the games.

This article covers some strategy tips that that could be helpful for improving your win/loss ratio.

1. Turn up the first card off the deck before making any other moves. It increases the initial number of possible moves and gives you the opportunity to make a better choice.

2. Always move an Ace or Deuce to the foundation whenever it is possible. This rule seems to be clear and logical and does not need any further explanation.

3. Expose hidden cards. If you have a choice from several possible moves that expose hidden cards, choose column with the largest number of hidden cards.

4. Hold off the moves that are not important. The best move is one that provides you with opportunity to make other moves or expose hidden cards.

5. Do not empty a tableau pile if you do not have a King to put it in. You gain nothing if you get an empty pile. A space in Klondike Solitaire can only be filled by a King or a sequence starting with a King, so leave your options open.

6. If you have a choice between a black King and a red King to fill a space with, be cautious in your decision. Look at the color of the blocking cards and make the appropriate color choice. For example, if you have a red Jack that blocks some hidden cards, you have to select a red King and than wait for a black Queen.

There are two basic ways to deal cards from the stock in this game: player deals either the cards at a time, or only one card is dealt at a time. The recommendations given above are applicable to both variations. The only difference for the “deal three at a time” variation is that you have to pay close attention to the order of the cards in the order of cards in the deck. Some people suggest dealing all the cards to the waste pile once without making any moves and remember the order of the cards in the deck.

If you play computerized version of Klondike, you can use the unlimited undo function as many times as you want to try different choices and to maximize your chances of winning.

People play games for entertainment and also to take a break from their routine lives. Contrary to popular belief, online games improve your hand-eye co-ordination and help you focus single-mindedly on the task. Online games are similar to role-plays where you become all-powerful under an alias, control the world, and can vanquish your enemies. They appeal to the competitive streak in individuals and are highly stimulating. This is the prime reason for their widespread popularity among children and adults.

There are a variety of games on the internet designed for all: for those who play for entertainment as well as the game addicts. Whether you opt to play a single-player game or a multi-player game, the options are limitless.

Unlike some offline card games like Solitaire, Freecell and Hearts the online card games are included with numerous options to explore and come with attractive graphics.

Some games also require partnerships, which is when you pair-up with another player and play with another pair of players.

It’s not that difficult to play an online card game. These games come with instructions as to how to make your moves, rules to follow and the method of playing. This is because each heart is worth one penalty point and the queen of spades is worth 13 penalty points. All other cards have no value. The winner is the one with the lowest score.

Here you’ll have to create higher points than the dealer but not exceeding 21. There are different points for different cards. Kings, queens and jacks carry 10 points. Aces may carry points from 1 to 11.

Gin Rummy: This game is all about matching the cards according to the suits and numbers. There are different matches you can do such as three queens, or 2, 3, and 4 of spades.

Poker: Here you’ll have to bet the cards in your hand. You are the winner if your bet is right. Some offer points to the winner while a few offer money.

If you choose to play with a human competitor, you’ll have the opportunity of chatting with your opponent online. This is really great for people who wish to build up social interaction. You’ll be playing with people from all over the world and get to converse with people from different countries.

If you’re playing with an opponent for winnings, you can make good money for winning the game. The most basic versions of Solitaire can be picked up and learnt fairly easily by most card players. However the more complicated versions of Solitaire could take the player hours to complete and are also much harder to learn.

Solitaire games typically entail dealing out the cards from a deck, in some game two decks are used, the cards are normally shuffled first before set out into a preset layout on a tabletop or other flat surface, and then a player attempts to reorganize the deck of cards by rank and suit using a sequence of card moves, transferring the cards from one position to another whilst keeping with in the rules of the game. The ultimate goal of most versions of Solitaire is to build complete foundation piles with all of the cards in perfect suit order, but first you need to achieve access to all of the facedown cards.

The history of Solitaire originates in France, but its exact history and origins are uncertain. Some people like to think Solitaire was first invented by the French prisoners, held in the royal prisons of France while others claim Solitaire was made-up by a French aristocrat during a length of time in solitary confinement in the Bastille sometime at some point in the 18th century. The first recorded collection of Solitaire games has been attributed to Lady Adelaide Cadogan in her book titled Illustrated games of Patience, it was first published around 1870 and has been reprinted numerous times since. Before this date there was no other literature with reference to Solitaire. There have been numerous variations of the original Solitaire game over the years and at the present there is close to five hundred different Solitaire games.

Today Solitaire can be played on many electrical devices such as your home computer or mobile phone. Basic forms of Solitaire such as Klondike and Freecell come pre-installed with every new version of Microsoft Windows and the most up-to-date operating system Windows Vista also comes with a fun version of Spider Solitaire. If you enjoy playing card games, then Solitaire is a great game that is sure to keep you entertained for hours and with all those different variations your bound to find a version you enjoy.

Object of the game: To build up four columns in suit ending in the King card. With Flower Garden solitaire only one card can be moved at a time. This version of solitaire relies heavily on skill.

When you first begin Flower Garden solitaire your screen may look like this:

There are a few other versions that may look different but the game is still played the same.

First you will need to find and retrieve all of your Aces. As some of the Aces are behind some of the other cards they may be hard to get to since you can only move one card at a time. When you move a suit you do not need to worry about the colors, regardless of suit a card can be placed on any suited card. You may not move a whole column at any time throughout this game, regardless of if you have it built in the correct order.

The game is called Flower Garden because the cards are meant to look like a bouquet. Once you have your Aces in the foundations you can start to build the rest of your suited cards. Only the top card in the columns can be moved so patience is needed when you play this game. You can also pull suits from the column of cards underneath the foundations.

Continue to move the suits up in to the columns, double clicking on the card will send the suit you choose up to one of the columns. Once a foundation has been cleared you can move an available King card. Once you move a King to an empty column you can then build that foundation and also move cards up to the columns in order to win your game.

The object of spider solitaire is to arrange all card suits in order. The goal is to empty all the columns while adding more cards to each column. Sometimes it feels like this game is unwinnable but if you keep at it you can ace it. You want to ascend from King all the way to the Ace card. When you start the game your screen will look like this:

At this point you want to look through your stacks and see if you can start arranging the deck so you can empty a column. You will see more than one of each card so this makes the game a little harder. Once you find a card to move just click and drag it to the card you choose. If it’s not the right card the game will throw the card back in to the deck and you’ll have to choose again. Each time you click and drag a card the one underneath it will flip over showing a new card. Once you get to the point where you can no longer make any moves click on the deck in the lower right hand corner. Don’t be discouraged at this point, it seems that when the dealer’s deck throws up 10 more cards you’re at a loss but there is a way to win.

Once you click the card pile which is face down it will send up another 10 cards that will cover all your existing cards. You will then have to click and drag the cards to usable columns. Sometimes this can’t be done because there are no cards in the columns that follow with the ascending pattern you need. Once you get to this point you will need to click on the deck again to send another 10 cards up. Once you start to clear full decks they will be moved to the lower left hand corner. Continue to try and build your suits so you can clear your decks. If you can’t make any more moves you’ll need to choose another card from the dealer’s deck and continue to build. You have 8 decks to build in the bottom left corner. If you empty a column, decide wisely if you want to use a Black King or a Red King depending on what cards you have available in the other decks. Once you move that King there you cannot move it back. You can see those cards in the bottom left corner.

After you start to build your decks and they are moved to the bottom of your screen, it becomes easier to play the game. Once you start to build your decks remember that you can still hit a wall and have to restart your game. You cannot deal cards from the deck if there are any empty columns either. Not all games are solvable but if you play enough you’ll get the hang of it and you’ll come up with strategies that work for you. Once you’ve cleared all the decks you’ve won!!

The object of this card game is start from the Ace card and end with the King card while alternating between the red and black cards. By double clicking the appropriate card you will start to stack the cards up in the empty slots above. There are four slots that you will need to fill up. Once you have clicked on a card and sent it up to the open and available slot another card will take its place. You can also click and drag one card to another within the stack as long as it follows with the guidelines of the game. When you first start your game the screen will look like this:

You are dealt seven cards horizontally with the card to the far left facing up you will want to find an Ace card to put up in the first empty slot. The next card you want to find will have to be the opposite color and be a 2 card, following that card will be 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, J, Q, and then K. You will still have the other stacks that you can use to hold cards while you search or what you need. Try to find all the Ace cards first. Once you have found a few Aces the screen will look like this:

Once a column has been cleared you can click and drag a stack to an empty column. It can only be a King card though. If you are unable to make a move with the cards in the stacks you can flip a card from the stack in the upper left corner. You will get 1 cards at a time.

Continue to flip through the cards until you find a card you can use to build from the Aces. Remember you may not find any cards you can use which means you can no longer continue with the game. Once you start to stack the cards your screen should start to look like this:

Once you start to start to uncover the cards you need your game will become easier to play. Once you’ve found all the cards you need you will no longer get any cards from the deck to choose from and you’re pretty sure to win at this point. But remember, you may need that one card that you are unable to get to!

Now that you’ve used all the cards in your deck all you need to do is double click on the appropriate card and start stacking all the cards up in the columns in the upper right part of your screen:

You WIN!
